Jay Trusler is a Documentary and Commercial Cinematographer based out of Squamish and Vancouver, BC with nearly 15 years of international experience.

Jay has honed his craft in visual storytelling working on a broad spectrum of productions including documentary films in the adventure, action sports, environmental and natural history genres, commercials and doc-style branded content, and a handful of narrative films. But he is best known for his story-driven directing style and stylized naturalistic cinematography and lighting techniques alongside experience working on expeditions in remote location around the world.

He has directed over 30 short documentaries including several web-series and worked as cinematographer on even more documentary Shorts as well as several Pilot Series and 3 Feature Films as well as dozens of web and broadcast commercials and tourism campaigns. Some of Jays clients include brands such Can-Am, Subaru, Oceanwise, Whistler Blackcomb, Apple, Salomon, The North Face, Go Whistler, Fjord Norway, Tourism Vancouver Island, Invictus Games and many more.
